One of the most anticipated and loved games for this generation has been GTA Vice City. The game contains a multiplayer mode, and people were wondering if it could be played with players from other countries, like Pakistan. It was quickly discovered that it can be done without the use of human verification! We're going to show you how to do this, as well as provide download links for those who don't know how. Although we'd recommend not downloading any files until you've made sure Rockstar Games hasn't changed these steps since they published them in 2009!This blog post is entirely informational and does not contain any opinion. Back in 2009, when it was just starting e3m.org was created to share information about the upcoming GTA Vice City multiplayer modes in previous R* games. The first multiplayer mode that people were indicating as being possible for this game was Online Race, which has been proven to be impossible to be played with a Pakistani person. From our research we were able to determine that a resident of Pakistan would simply not have a valid Internet connection due to the required high speeds and area network infrastructure. For those of you who do not know what an area network is, it's basically the way computers communicate over a local wire, as opposed to using more common methods such as Wi-Fi or DSL or cable. We also did some searching on the Internet and came across some cracks that were made to get around this issue, although they only work in the cracks that were made for previous games like San Andreas. As you can see below, Pakistan's IP is 139.199.18.139 which is also located in the United Kingdom within the United Kingdom Internet service provider (UK ISP). The UK ISP only allows people from their own country to play with Pakistanis so there were no other options available for this game in Pakistan. As of June 2nd 2010 Rockstar Games have updated their server configurations with new information about what regions are allowed with which countries/universities/schools/colleges/uni’s etc.. which are required to be updated with their own server configurations. The updated are located at Rockstar Support, which you can find the link down below. Rockstar Games have provided the following information regarding this issue: “These servers are run by 3rd party hosting companies that have our permission to host our servers. Our goal is to have the servers running 24/7, however occasionally unforeseen issues can arise that affect these servers being operational. The GTA IV Character Manager servers for North America, South America, Australia and New Zealand are not affected by this issue.
